Playing in a browser

The classroom also runs in a normal browser at /play, with no Meta Quest needed. You're already signed in there, so there's nothing to link — it opens straight into the room using the keys and settings on your account.

Getting around

Right-drag to look around. The left button stays free for clicking, so you can answer the quiz and turn cards over without letting go.
W A S D to walk. The blackboard is at the front of the room, so walk towards it if the writing is small.

Talking to the teacher

Hold T while you speak and release when you've finished — the same push-to-talk the Meta Quest uses, on a key instead of a controller button. Your words appear on the button as they're recognized; poke it to send them, or speak again to replace them if it misheard.

The first time you press it, your browser asks permission to use the microphone. Accept, and keep holding — the recording starts as soon as you answer. If you refuse, everything else still works; only speaking to the teacher stops.

Clicking things

The blackboard — click the teacher's reply for a translation and a breakdown of the grammar.
The quiz paper — click an answer, then Check.
A flash card — it turns over, reads the word aloud, and slides back into the deck. One card is up at a time; clicking another puts the first back.

Differences from the Meta Quest

The classroom is the same in both, but a browser can't do everything a Quest can. The floating panels can't be picked up and repositioned the way they can with your hands. The lesson itself — the conversation, the quizzes, the cards, your saved settings — is identical, and both use the same account and the same allowance.
